Dark Peak Graphics is an independent UK design studio creating bold, music inspired artwork and limited run prints. Founded by designer Brook, the brand blends retro music culture, illustration, and graphic storytelling to create distinctive collections full of personality and character.
Working in collaboration with Nick at NWDI, Crush Pixels developed a fully bespoke WordPress and WooCommerce website for Dark Peak Graphics that better reflected the personality of the brand while creating a strong foundation for future growth.
The goal was to move away from a more standard eCommerce experience and create a website that felt visually unique, immersive, and closely aligned with Brook’s artwork and creative identity.
The website was built around a bold and highly visual design system using strong typography, layered graphics, animation, colour, and custom layouts inspired by music, poster art, and retro print culture.
Every page was carefully developed to help reinforce the Dark Peak Graphics identity, from the homepage and collection pages through to the About section, product layouts, and promotional content areas.
The result is a website that feels far more like an extension of the brand itself rather than a traditional online store.
Alongside the front end design and development, significant work was carried out to tailor the WooCommerce experience across the website.
Fully customised basket, checkout, account, and product experiences were developed alongside bespoke card bundle functionality, custom collection layouts, and tailored product structures to create a more cohesive and engaging shopping experience that matched the wider visual identity of the brand.
Particular attention was also given to improving the mobile shopping experience, ensuring the website remained fast, intuitive, and easy to use across all devices.
The website was developed on WordPress and WooCommerce with a flexible content structure that allows new collections, artwork, campaigns, and promotional content to be added and updated easily over time.
Alongside the build itself, Crush Pixels also created a bespoke digital Wiki and guidance documentation to help make day to day website management straightforward for the client. Combined with tailored editing experiences and reusable content layouts, this gives Dark Peak Graphics a platform that is both easy to manage internally and flexible enough to continue evolving with the brand.
