RYJ needed a futuristic, eye-catching web interface to make a great first impression with new potential clients.
Taking RYJ’s ideas and visions for the website on board, our creative director created a truly unique website design that stood out from the crowd, where quite often websites in the construction industry can seem somewhat plain and lacking in any visual appeal, personality or both.
The interface really came to life when we started to develop it within WordPress. The CMS is perfectly equipped to manage the design and content of the website. The website has been tailor-made and doesn’t rely on an off the shelf theme for the framework layout or styling.
WordPress websites are fantastic at managing content.
If you have an abundance of text, imagery or both – then WordPress will be a great tool for you to present this to your users.
However by default it only has two types of content packaged with the CMS, these are posts and pages. These work really well in most situations but many web owners have other types of content they would like to manage, such as testimonials, case studies, etc.
There is a solution to this, the solution is known as Custom Post Types or often abbreviated to CPT’s. Custom Post types allow you to tailor the management of your content for your business needs.
For RYJ, they needed to include Case Studies on the website, the case studies would need to be added by the business owner or employees, in a way that was quick and easy to understand. Our CPT solution worked perfectly on the project, as they can now easily be added, edited and deleted by users of all abilities.
